The long-awaited new version of the Shanling M9 player, the M9 PLUS, is finally here, bringing not only a modernized Android platform, but above all marking the return of AKM DACs! Thus, the M9 PLUS is the brand's first DAP to integrate the latest generation of AKM DACs, with four AK4499EX chips within a unique symmetrical architecture. The amplifier design has been adjusted for this Quad-DAC design, achieving higher power output.

For the rest, the M9 PLUS adopts the design implemented by Shanling for their digital music players. It therefore works with a Snapdragon 665 processor, an Android 10 system as well as with the Android Global Losless Output (AGLO) technology developed by the brand for optimal performance. In addition, the 8GB of RAM as well as 256GB of internal memory will allow you to enjoy your audio files via energy-hungry applications or high-quality files stored internally.

A dazzling screen

The first visible element is the magnificent M9 PLUS touch screen, a 6" 2K LCD panel with a resolution of 2160*1080px (Full HD). This offers superb color rendering and wide viewing angles, allowing use as comfortable as pleasant..

Quad-DAC AK4499EX Design

The M9 PLUS is the first digital audio player from Shanling to adopt the new generation of AKM DACs, thus using no less than four AK4499EX chips in a unique Quad-DAC design. This design is particularly inspired by Shanling CD players, with the aim of maximizing the potential of DACs in a balanced circuit. These also support sampling rates up to PCM 32bit 768kHz, DSD512 and MQA files. There are also two AKM4191 Delta Sigma modulator unit chips, essential partners of the 4 AK4499EX DAC chips. Note that the DAC section now has its own power chip.

Improved OP+BUF architecture

Adopting the brand new MUSES 8920 J-FET OPA and the now proven BUF634A buffer, combined with AKM DACs, the Shanling M9 PLUS offers a warm and soft reproduction, taking up the sound signature that has made the brand so successful. Total output power reaches 1120mW @ 32 Ohm.

OPA1612

The DAC section of the M9 PLUS also features four TI OPA1612 OPAs, splitting the balanced audio signal between the four DACs. This architecture makes it possible to obtain a fully independent balanced output.

Upgraded oscillators

Two Japanese KDS 90.3168MHz / 98.304MHz crystal oscillators and Shanling's improved algorithm enable better precision, with greatly reduced jitter and improved performance for digital signal transmission.

Balanced & unbalanced outputs

Whether you have headphones or earphones with a Jack 3.5mm or Jack 4.4mm connector, the M9 PLUS will adapt. Indeed, it provides two outputs: the first, balanced, is in Jack 4.4mm format and the second, single-ended, in Jack 3.5mm format.

A powerfull battery

With the M9 PLUS, battery life is no longer an issue. Its large 8350mAh battery offers an autonomy of 18 hours of playback in asymmetrical mode, and 11 hours in symmetrical mode. In addition, it incorporates QC3.0 fast charging technology.

Two-way Bluetooth 5.0

Easily connect your M9 PLUS to any Bluetooth wireless headphones or speaker and enjoy exceptional sound quality thanks to the support of aptX, aptX HD and LDAC high-resolution wireless transmission codecs. The M9 PLUS Ultra can also function as a receiver and therefore be connected via Bluetooth to a source.

High speed connection and streaming

A fast processor

Within the M9 PLUS hides a powerful eight-core Snapdragon 665 processor associated with 8GB of RAM, offering very good computing performance for smooth and pleasant use of the DAP. It also has an internal storage of 256GB, which can be extended by using a Micro SD card (not included).

Android 10 system

The Android 10 platform gives you access to many applications to adapt to all your needs. Plus, with on-board AGLO technology, for Android Global Lossless Output, your music is processed at its maximum quality, with no degradation caused by Android's sample rate converter.

Full MQA support

Working as a total decoder, the M9 PLUS is capable of playing MQA 16x high quality streams via the Tidal streaming app. MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology allows you to enjoy sound reproduction that is as close as possible to the original recording in the studio.
